Beca Fong

Becca Fong (formerly of Seattle Tilth) served as the King County-appointed Equity & Social Justice representative helping KCD staff develop programs and services that addressed cultural and social-economic barriers.  Becca now works for Seattle Public Utilities Solid Waste Management Department.

Becky Nixon joined the Advisory Committee as a SCA representative from Duvall in 2016. 

Becky is a Duvall City Council member, business owner and strong community advocate for the Snoqualmie Valley.

George Irwin

George Irwin was a true farmer who served as an advocate for FFA, 4-H and on the board of Pierce-King Farm Bureau in addition to serving on KCD’s Advisory Committee.

George passed away in August 2016, he will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him

Jim Berger

Jim Berger is an inaugural member of the Advisory Committee representing SCA and served as the Committee’s Vice Chair since its inception. 

Jim is the Mayor of Carnation (he won the post with 94% of the votes cast) and offered a balanced voice for the agriculture and development interests in his community.

Jim would be quick to suggest that the food at KCD’s Advisory Committee meetings is the best!

Kate Kruller, Tukwila City Council, continues to be an outspoken advocate of KCD’s programs and services and eloquently shared her support at numerous public forums. Kate also served on the King County/KCD Conservation Panel in 2013.
