Regional Food System Grant Program

Funds projects that demonstrate public benefit and a link to improving working lands in King County. The program is designed to support projects that contribute to the economic viability of local farmers, encourage new farmers, expand acreage in food production, improve food access, and increase demand for King County farm products. Seattle Community Partnership Grant Program

A joint effort to support both KCD and City of Seattle priorities for natural resource improvement. This grant program is highly competitive for approximately $370,000 available each year. The program is intended to fund multiple, small projects that directly improve natural resources through on-the-ground activities such as habitat restoration or urban agriculture and engage community. If your project is located within City of Seattle limits or on City of Seattle owned property and you are an established nonprofit organization or have an established nonprofit organization as a partner/fiscal sponsor, you are eligible to apply for this program. Member Jurisdiction Grant Program

The Member Jurisdiction Grant Program funds projects in partnership with 33 cities (excluding Seattle) that are members of the District. For Seattle projects please see the Seattle Community Partnership Grant Program details link above. Applicants for this program must partner with or represent a member jurisdiction (33 cities and King County) to put forth a proposal that meets both jurisdictional and KCD priorities for natural resource improvement. Activities eligible for funding through this program include the direct improvement of natural resource conditions, education and outreach, pilot and demonstration projects and projects that build capacity.
