A group of 11 volunteers from Microsoft spent the 2019 United Way Day of Caring maintaining a KCD restoration site in Snoqualmie. James Drage, the group coordinator, has brought out his team to volunteer at KCD projects for 10 years in a row! The group worked at the same site two years ago laying out black fabric to suppress weeds that could out compete the native plantings. This year, the team went back to the same site and removed the black fabric seeing the impact it had on supporting the native trees and shrubs that are now large enough to hold their own against the competing weeds. Thank you, Microsoft for your continued volunteer support of KCD restoration projects.
If you would like to bring a group out to a KCD project, sign up to volunteer at an upcoming event.
