Thank you to everyone who ordered plants from the 2020 KCD Native Plant Sale! We had another strong year with over 820 orders, totaling over 60,300 native plants, bringing more resilient and beautiful landscapes to all of our neighborhoods!
Your flexibility as this year’s sale morphed into a curbside plant pick-up was instrumental in our success. We weren’t sure how things would work out given public health protocols, but everyone did an amazing job honoring social distancing guidelines and working with us for a quick and easy pick-up process.
We owe a great deal of thanks to our staff, AmeriCorps members, and especially to the Washington Conservation Corps Crews who were instrumental in packing, organizing and fulfilling all of the plant orders.
We also want to extend thanks to the Tukwila Community Center staff for letting us hold our event at their wonderful facility and for all of their time, attention and flexibility as the big day drew closer.
While we were not able to have the Community Fair in-person, we are spotlighting our community partners on our website and Facebook – so stay tuned!
If you were counting on our Walk-Up Plant Sale, never fear! You can purchase native plants year-round from one of the native plant nurseries on our list.
