King Conservation District’s 2022 Native Bareroot Plant Sale online store will open for pre-orders on November 15, 2021. Save the date and be sure to take advantage of early bird pricing and the broadest selection available. Last year we had almost 900 orders so many species sell out early.
Pickup for pre-orders will be in March 2022 at the Tukwila Community Center, with COVID-19 safety measures in place to minimize contact for the safety of customers and staff.
As you are planning which native plants to add to your cart and yard, we’re here to help. Over the next several weeks we will be spotlighting some of the native plants available for you to pre-order through KCD’s Native Plant Sale on our social media pages and blog. Follow our Facebook page and Instagram for our native plant spotlights and other KCD news.
KCD is also hosting a “Benefits and Beauty of Landscaping with Native Plants” webinar on Thursday, November 18. Native plant expert Jacobus Saperstein will cover the countless benefits that native plants provide for landscape aesthetics, wildlife habitat, water quality, and more. Bring your questions and get advice on the best ways to reduce plant mortality, save money and improve your landscape’s overall health and happiness.
