Delridge Farmers Market Year Two
Description
Year One of the Delridge Farmers Market has been a smashing success, supporting King County’s BIPOC-owned food-based small businesses, getting healthy, local, culturally-relevant food into the hands of food-insecure families in the African Diaspora immigrant and refugee community, and creating a popular community event centered around local food in a USDA-designated food desert. In Year Two, we seek to increase the market frequency from monthly to weekly, in order to exponentially increase food access benefits for the community and economic opportunity for BIPOC food producers in King County.
