Project
Restoring Native Stewardship in Urban Ecology
Description
This project is about reconciliation with traditional ecological perspectives in what is now Seattle, connecting genealogical heritage of lands currently occupied by greater University of Washington areas with living Coast Salish family histories. Activities include surveying, assessments, interviewing, site visits, and mapping. Heritage knowledge, relationships, health indicators and forest access, uses, and ecology stewardship will strengthen collaborative, sustainable action around urban forestry.
