Project
Building Urban Forest at Yes Farm
Description
Black Farmers Collective (BFC) and local volunteers will engage the International, First Hill, and Central communities in restoring the south end of YES Farm by planting a miniature urban forest with native plants, pulling out invasive vegetation, and increasing the natural habitat. BFC will coincide this restoration project with educational workshops that facilitate sharing of ancestral narratives and practices, the use of traditional plants, and the role plants play in our health and wellness.
