KCD and Washington State Envirothon are proud to announce the winners of this years Northwest Regional Envirothon!

The top ranking teams which included Lincoln, Tesla STEM, and Roosevelt high schools from King County, as well as H.M Jackson High School from Snohomish will be moving on to the state competition!

This years event was wildly successful with over 16 teams from 9 schools across King and Snohomish counties participating.

Envirothon is annual competition in which teams of high school students from across the state compete in solving complex environmental challenges through a variety of subjects including forestry, soils, aquatics, and wildlife. This years regional competition took place in Woodinville, with the state competition taking place on Samish Island in May. The event allows students to explore the fields of conservation and environmental work, learn about natural resources, meet professionals, explore careers in environmental science, and make new friends.

If Envirothon sounds like something your school or students might be interested in participating in, please reach out to Nick Kramer at nick.kramer@kingcd.org. Congratulations to our placing teams and all the schools that participated in this year’s competition!
