General Forest Health and Risk Trees: Is this a Habitat Tree or a Hazard Tree? What makes a forest healthy? Sometimes it is hard to see how healthy a forest is. We will show you a few easy ways to check the pulse of your forest and see if your forest might need a checkup. Did you know that dead trees could be a sign of a healthy forest? Not all dying and dead trees are a sign of poor forest health. Most dying trees can enhance your forest. We will help you see if your dying tree(s) are a risk or benefit to your forest. Participants will receive a Zoom link after registering and filling out a very short pre-webinar survey.

There will be webinars throughout the winter January through April on the third Thursday of the month at 6:30 p.m. In May (date and location TBD) we will have a forest field day at a local family owned tree farm to look at all of the elements of stewardship forestry that we have discussed during the winter webinars.
