Join CityFruit for a summer pruning workparty in partnership with the team at City Soil Farm in Renton! Summer pruning is great for shaping and reducing the size of a tree, identifying and removing deadwood, and thinning trees which are crowded and/or overproducing. Come refresh on fruit tree pruning basics with us! Please view this document for driving and parking directions to the site

Please make sure to bring your mask and we will supply the necessary tools all sanitized and ready to go! And like always, come prepared for rain or shine–dressed in closed toed shoes and clothes you are comfortable getting potentially a little dirty!

City Fruit Volunteer Guidelines for COVID-19

The wellbeing of our volunteers is of the utmost importance, and we only ask you to commit to volunteering if you are safely able to do so.

Are you healthy enough to volunteer?

Based on what the CDC considers high-risk conditions, you should probably not volunteer outside the home if any of these apply to you – for the safety of yourself and everyone around you:
If you currently have a cough, fever, or any respiratory illness
If you currently have a heart condition, lung disease, diabetes, or any other serious health condition,
If you are over the age of 65, older adults and those with chronic health conditions are discouraged from pursuing volunteer events at this time due to vulnerability to COVID-19.
If you or anyone in your household have been in close contact with anyone who is confirmed to have COVID-19

Please stay home if you are feeling under the weather, have had recent contact with anyone demonstrating Covid-19 symptoms, or if you yourself have experienced a dry cough, fever, or other Covid-19 symptoms within the last 14 days.

Thanks for reading this, we look forward to seeing you out there!
