Come learn all about strategies to reduce water consumption in your urban garden.

As we experience drier and drier conditions in the Pacific Northwest many of us are thinking about ways to reduce our water use. Visit the UW Farm to learn all about strategies to conserve water in an urban garden. We will learn about the research being done on the farm and the many methods of water conservation. These methods cover everything from dry farming to drip irrigation to soil building strategies that improve water holding capacity. We will also discuss choosing varieties that grow well with limited water. In addition to using less water many of these techniques lead to healthier and better tasting harvests as well!

Light dinner refreshments will be provided, please bring a water bottle and dress for the weather.

If you have any questions, please contact Madeline.Cooper@kingcd.org.
