These rates are in Pure Live Seed per acre and are minimum rates.
For easiest pasture management, select 1 grass and 1 legume for your soil type from the list. If more than one species of grass is desired, the seeding rate of the mixture should equal the highest single species seeding rate. If well-managed, these mixes should give at least 10 years of high production.

Perennial Ryegrass doesn’t grow well on droughty soils. On other soils, if a grass mix is desired, do not include more than 25 Ryegrass in the mix. Because of differing seed sizes, substitute Ryegrass as follows:
3 lb/ac Perennial Ryegrass for:
2 lb/ac Orchardgrass
3 lb/ac Tall Fescue
2 lb/ac Meadow Foxtail
1 lb/ac Timothy
Short-Lived Mix – 3-5 years of high production
Grasses
Perennial Ryegrass 14 lb/ac
Legumes
White Clover 2 lb/ac
Recommended Varieties
Tall Fescue – Fawn, Forager, Johnstone
