What is Farm to Institution?
Farm to Institution is the support of the local food economy through purchase of local farm and food products from regional producers and processors by institutions such as schools, colleges, hospitals, correctional facilities, and corporate campuses. Though each farm to institution program is unique, they generally share similar values and goals – to provide fresh, nutritious, locally sourced food in cafeterias.
We are looking for collaborative partners and financial supporters to further the LIFT network of resources and technical assistance.
