Join us for a free, forest tour, hosted by the Vashon Cohousing Group, King Conservation, and WSU Extension, to see how your neighbors on Vashon are caring for their forestland. The tour will be from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. at the Vashon Cohousing Complex.
You will learn about stewardship activities such as thinning and planting, how to manage your forest for wildlife habitat, how to decide what work to do yourself vs when to hire a contractor, how to make management decisions with multiple owners, and more! Snacks and water will be provided. Please bring a water bottle. We will be walking through the forest understory, on uneven ground. Please dress accordingly.
